I have some news that I would like to get posted on Yahoo for the world to read. If you can tell me how to post it or if you could post it I would be very grateful.

This news takes place in the small town of Merrill Wi a town that only houses 10,000 people. I am a student of Merrill High and I am aiming to fix this unconstitutional wrong.

This is an original article about what the school board is trying to do to its students.

Title: Merrill board oversteps with power grab

The Merrill School Board adopted a sweeping new policy on comunications among students and staff members last week --- a policy that is ill-conceived at best and UNCONSTITUTIONAL at worst.
Board members unanimously granted themselves and administrators the power to discipline kids and adults for things they say or do OFF SCHOOL PROPERTY and on their OWN TIME.
"School officials have the authority to regulate student and staff conduct in the use of PERSONAL WEBSITES, BLOGS, SOCIAL NETWORKS, CELL PHONES OR OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES on campus or off," the new policy reads. "Discipline of students and staff may occur when the use of the above sites or devices materially and substantially interferes with appropriate operation of the district."

The policy doesn't define "materially and substantially" - and omission that means just about anything could be cause for disipline. What's more, the district says no specific threat or incident prompted the new policy ;administrators adopted it in light of recent court rulings.
In other words, they decided to give themselves authority to punish students and employees for thir off-campus,OUT OF SCHOOL conduct simply becuase they could. The article goes on to say what Carole Witt Starck has to say about the new policy. She also lists some examples that can wind you in trouble. But what does this fancy article mean? It means that if you say anything offensive about other students or staff and someone reports you, or they find it on facebook, myspace, your email, cell phone, etc you get in trouble. But they won't say what kind of trouble. So that leads people to assume that we get one of three punishments, detention, suspension,or expelled. So technically I could get in trouble for this post.

I think you would have to get it in your local newspapers and news stations first and then try to get as much attention a possible from there.
