In graduate school. It was my final year and was loaded down with work. Had my theses and classes that demanded a lot of reading and reports. The "Scholastic Gods" were just shoveling in on top of me. Anyway, I digress. I had this female professor. A real class act, but really pushed me. I told her about the load I had and asked if I could delay a few reports and she said "no." She also told me that I was an A student and should behave like one. I walked away calling her all kinds of names (to myself), but she was right and I was able to accomplish all that she gave and more. Later I went to her office and thanked her for her support and pushing me. The most impressive teacher or professor I ever had. She was able to find something in me that I didn't know I had. She is what all teachers should be like.

I was 2nd year college when I had my best and favorite teacher. I had some classes with her on my 3rd year too. I wasn't able to thank her since I moved to a new city and was not able to go back for years but now that you reminded me...I will make sure I get to thank her one these days.

I was in the second grade.

I have tried but couldn't find her. She would be elderly now if she's still alive.

I was sexually, psychologically and physically abused at home. AND during my second grade year the older sister who usually took care of me was in college far from home, leaving me to totally fend for myself most of the time. I was subject to constant cut downs and abuse. My life was extremely difficult, but Miss Miller loved me with all her heart and I worshiped the ground she walked on. She was very young and beautiful. She taught me that learning was fun and that I was very smart.

I have thanked God for her many many times and asked Him to bless her wherever she is.
