and Bush/Cheney ordering the torture of human beings, most of whom were guilty of nothing more than perhaps fighting against an invading force from thousands of miles away . . . especially since dogs were often used as part of the torture?

The difference is that they're the ******* rulers of one of the most powerful countries on the planet, yet we let them get away with it and much, much more.

We aren't torturing anyone, its called interrogation.Water boarding is not torture.Sleep deprivation is not torture. Not only that,I want to know where voices like yours are at when Americans get tortured by our enemies. And I'm talking about pouring crude oil down their throat, electrocution.and breaking bones.Where are your outcries when journalists are beheaded.I bet you were saying nothing about the South Koreans that were taken hostage in Afghanistan. The only reason why we don't use torture is because it does not work. They will say anything to make the pain stop.Stop listening to the human Rights Watch. We might as well start calling them the Jihadist Rights Watch. They consider anything other than obtaining name, rank and Jihad number as torture. How do we get information from them? I suppose we are expected to hold them in our arms and say in a soft voice"Its O.K. just tell us when you're ready".And about Michael Vick.Plain and simple. You kill it,you eat it.

Torturing dogs who did nothing to anyone vs. the US government holding prisoner, suspected terrorists who have probably killed or are likely to be involved in the murder of innocents (Americans or their allies). You didn't draw a very good analogy there. Don't give up though, keep trying. You'll find someone to buy into it.

NOTE: Sarcasm alert
The difference is that Michael Vick gets paid bajillions of dollars to do what the does, and although it isn't in his contract, he should be aware that he is a potential role model for many young people, and what he did is illegal.
B/C on the other hand are not to be held liable for what happened at Gitmo, because they simply ordered results, without a care in the world how these results were achieved.

The difference is that the US Federal Government , its leaders and we real citizens didn't ask for it; didn't enjoy it; and the captured prisoners were not in compliance with the Geneva Convention, and legally could have been shot on sight. Instead, they got prayer rugs, free medical and food, and did not get their heads sawed off.

People who run dog fights enjoy the suffering, much as your terrorists friends do, and they murder them when they are done with their festivities.

So, tell us... are you a dupe or an operative?

I don't like either Vick or Bush, but this is quite a stretch.

Apples and oranges, Vick broke the law and will go to jail no matter what absurd comparison you make.

Liberal. Of course. Bush/Cheney did not order the torture. Instead of listening halfway to "news", try actually paying attention to the news.
