I was looking for a pet snake off of Reptile Auctions.com and found someone selling these snakes for $15. I have invested a lot of money into this snake only to find out that they are illegal. These snakes are native to GA but are really common in the pet trade, and are only illegal in 3 states (GA, NJ, HI). I want to sell it to somebody where it is legal to have them, so at least I can make some money back, but that may not be the case. I am highly concerned about getting the snake a good home and I was wondering if any of you herpers out there have any suggestions.

I am also trying to sell a trio of adult leopard geckos (1 tremper albino male, 1 high-yellow female, 1 normal female) and an unsexed coastal rosy boa.

Georgia allows the keeping of reptiles with a permit. You might look into getting a permit to keep the snake. $15 is not a lot of money invested to be honest. You could probably sell it online the same as anyone else, or find a local breeder near you with permits that could take it off your hands and sell it for you. This is why it's so important to research the laws before you purchase any animal. Georgia is very strict on their reptile laws and it's almost impossible to keep any reptiles without a permit. What kind of snake is it?

I'm assuming you have a corn snake. All the various colour mutations of corns are illegal in GA but some of the mutations are still legal in New Jersey, Amels, snows and blizzards among a few others if I recall.
If you are in NJ rather the GA you may want to verify the exemptions before you get rid of it.

Most tech stores carry antivirus CDs he can purchase. If you have a good connection and a USB key, you can also download a free antivirus and plug it into his computer. However, that does put your USB key at risk for getting the virus infection. Instead, you could burn the installation exe file onto a CD. If you decide to go with the second option, I'm including a couple of links below for you to download a free AV from. Good luck!
