Hypothesis: a proposal intended to explain certain facts or observations. You make an educated guess about say what would happen in an experiment before hand, and you have to say why you think that, and then you try to prove it.
"I believe that the asphalt shingled roof will keep the inside of the house the hottest because it's dark colored." lol

Prediction: Almost like a hypothesis, "I think it's going to be sunny today"

well a prediction is when someone says something is going to happen and a hypothesis is when facts prove things will happen.
like when people predict the world will end by God because tthe Bible has shown or some hypothesis it will end with climate disasters as the ice age, polarity shifts, and science has shown.

prediction: If you play the lottery you may win money.
hypothesis: If you play the lottery 5 times per week instead of 1 time per week then you have better odds of winning.

a prediction is something we do in my first grade class when we guess what will happen next in a story in our reading books.

A hypothesis is an educated guess.
