Let me try and answer your question with an analogy.
Let's say that George Bush is a Philadelphia Phillie
who bats Right..
Let's say that Hillary Clinton is a New York Met
who bats Left...
Phillies hate the Mets who bat left..
just as much as the Mets hate the Phillies who bat right...
and their fans go to great lengths to insult one another and
subsequently, each gets upset accordingly.
