Not only in Iraq but also an impending war with Iran.
I hear so many of you, NOT ALL but most seem to support this war and going into Iran with barrels blazing. I also hear many of you say they WANT a Holy War and this is the justification for fighting radical Islam. We all know Osama Bin Laden declared Holy War on infidels with 9/11. This is also what Amadinejad wants and a lot of Muslims in the middle-east especially in Iran worship Osama as their Mahdri or Mohammed incarnate to bring about Armageddon which will end with all infidels dead, Islam the true religion to triumph and rule the world. With so many of these parallels with our own biblical prophesies have you ever stopped to think what would happen if we chose not to play along with this plan? Aren't we actually playing right into their scenario? Does this mean that Bush really doesn't believe the bible or is he wanting Armageddon too?

You think we are going into Iran without Congress approval? Think again.

Where to start?? First I am a conservative that believes this is a Holy War! Maybe a few more liberals need to read what is in the Koran. They are at war with the Jewish and Christian nations. Whether you agree with Ed Borden, he it correct! You can fight back or sit down and let them slice your head off. Second, Ernie, although Bush has professed his beliefs, I haven't heard him say he has a "direct access" to God. Bush is over, the next President is the one we need to worry about. Third, if the US or Israel does not stop Iran now, you can bet they will Nuke Israel and sell devices to Al Qaeda! Are you condoning that "Ernie and Ron "? Do you want to see Israel Nuked off the face of the map? Also I wouldn't rely on getting my news from CSPAN - might as well use the dailykos. If the process of Armageddon is in place then not one of us can stop it. But I don;t believe in the Rapture which means I will have to defend my Faith through Tribulation. Which I intend to do! And TD give us some good examples of those double standards with sources, but be careful not to also include libs. The politicians want people like you and I to argue and fight, that way we don't focus on their failings. (Federal Politicians are really only one party, once in Washington its them against the constituents.

In general, they don't. There may be a few conservatives that actually believe this is a holy war, but I personally know of none. I don't know where this idea came from unless it came from a liberal blog where there are often wrong assumptions about how conservatives think. These kinds of extreme suppositions poison people's minds against conservatives and yet the question by asking "why" supposes it is true and some of the answers show that it is believed. I am a conservative and am against any kind of holy war. I believe it is true of most conservatives. I say most allowing that there may be some who do, although I don't know of any. I don't know what Bush believes. But he is not a conservative and in fact opposes what many conservatives have fought for. One such example is amnesty for illegal aliens. Bush opposed conservatives on that issue very strongly. Conservatives that support the war effort do so because they believe there is a great threat to America from radical Islamist believers and look at it as a matter of survival to remove this threat to their country's freedom. Also, nearly all if not all conservatives believe in freedom of religion and they know that radical Islam is opposed to any religion but their very own narrow view and are willing to kill and torture without remorse because of it. Radical Islam sees America as being Christian and infidels. I'm sorry that they do, but it's true. They get things like that confused because they always view everything from a religious view point and can't imagine that in America, many people believe in fighting for their country. I've had to explain that to a Muslim who had recently moved here, and he had a really hard time understanding that concept. I also explained to him that Christians do not believe in killing people in the name of religion. To real Christians, the idea of that is insanity and that if any Christian did that they would be wrong and insane. I think Bush confused people when he seemed to combine Christian beliefs with fighting out of patriotism to America. These are two separate things and real Christians do not confuse them. I was surprised and embarrassed at that connotation. I suppose now that he thought it would help him gain supporters. All it has done is confuse people. I am going to some length to explain this and it may do no good at all. But for the record, this is the truth.

Invasion into Iran is only a matter of time , before Bush's Presidency is over is a big opportunity because according to insiders Bush cant look back on his Presidency and say he solved the Immigration crisis so he wants to leave saying he ended the war on terrorism . Sadly I don't know how this makes sense but this is what I hear .

As for Conservatives saying they want to invade Iran , well there not stupid they know the invasion is coming they just want it over and done with already .

Conservatives represent a double standard period.Morally, sexually and religiously

But to answer your question directly,Bush subscribes to Fundamentalist Evangelism, which is a very Apocalyptic branch of Protestantism, and which has many adherents who believe it is their duty to instigate Armageddon.Furthermore,George Bush claims to have direct access to God.

Taking the above factors into account,it would not surprise me to find out the President's goal is bring about the the End Times his faith so fervently hopes and prays for.

You are working with suspect facts. No conservative I have ever heard has spoken in favor of "holy war". Radical Islam has declared a holy war and we (the american people) are its intended victims. Now, you can sit back and believe that if we pull out (quit, surrender, leave) iraq, that we will be safe and they will go back into their caves, but remember, we weren't in iraq when 9/11 happened and we were less than 9 months out of an 8 year clinton administration. These people need to be defeated or else. You peacenicks need to stop living in fantasyland and wake up.

Why do Liberals have a double standard for everything else? I would much rather we deal with Iran, now, without nuclear weapons, than with nuclear weapons. It's not an anti- Islam, anti-Iran hatefest, it's just the persons running the country are nuts.

The "Armageddon now" crowd believe all of this stuff happening is the fulfillment of prophecy. So they are pretty much all for it.

They are some scary folks.
