HELP! I need pillbugs/roly poly/armadillo bugs PRONTO! Well, not pronto, but by tomorrow morning at 6:30! They are the little bugs that roll into a ball when you touch them (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pillbug). I need them for my AP Biology course...thanks!

If you could give me advice as to how to attract them, it would be much appreciated. 10 points and my eternal gratitude to the one whose suggestion yields the most bugs!

Sounds like you need to go out in the field and hunt down some pill bugs where they usually hang out. Pill bugs especially like to hang out in gardens and around planters. They eat dead vegetation so look under leaf litter and mulch.
You won't be able to bring them to you by morning so you will have to do some work if you need them. If you live in a neighborhood then go around to your neighbors and ask them if they have pill bugs around their planters or in their gardens. I'm sure they would be more than happy to let you take some. Good Luck

Pillbugs can be searched for in any sites that provide locally humid retreats during the day. Compost piles and leaf litter
frequently have rich populations, and large numbers can often be found beneath logs and among rubble piles.

All species are nocturnal and may venture over considerable distances during the night. On humid evenings,
they can often be seen in large numbers with the help of a flashlight. Pillbugs feed on dead vegetation, such as wood and leaf
litter.
