Yes you are right. It is just that society has led us to believe the other way around. I had a Aunt who beat her husband up all the time.It was sad.

Abuse doesn't have to be just physical, it can be emotional and psychological as well. I've known many people over the years who have been in relationships like this but because of their egos refused to do anything about it. I think in our modern society there's a stigma attached to men claiming abuse by their wives or girlfriends. Most men cannot deal with the reality of the situation, and they certainly cannot tell another man this! But it does happen, and sometimes it ends with a gunshot.
Domestic violence is a serious issues in this country and it's one that needs to be addressed more seriously by the federal government. Instead of pouring billions of dollars into meaningless programs overseas, we need to spend more time and money on solving domestic issues here at home.

There are many abusive women out there. Men do not usually turn them in cause if you were the one being beat up by a woman would you admit to it? Men suffer the same issues as women who are abused. They start to think that they deserve it or that they are worthless and just put up with it. Anyone being abused should find a way out of that situation as quickly as they possibly can. No one deserves to be abused by another human being. Life is too short to be miserable.

Women can be vicious. Think about it; how many men are going to admit a women beats them up. It's humiliating, just as it is for a woman. Man or woman, they need to come to terms with the fact that the relationship is a bad one and get out of it. Sometimes only counseling helps people see this.

Yes there are women out here who are just as mean and nasty as any guy but these cases are rarer in court due to many men wont say a woman beat them up. Female prisons across the US are full of women who have beat or killed their husbands or boyfriends. Like I said many of these cases just dont reach the courts

Women can be equally physically abusive as men at times. Abuse is about power and control and women like to feel that way also. Men less likly to report abuse from their spouses as they are embarrassed by being unable to protect themself from a woman. Women can be just as abusive as men, they can use weapons and also throw things at their spouses.

Oh yea there is. It happens a lot more than most people realize. The thing is most guys aren't willing to admit to it and then when they have finally had enough he goes to jail usually. It's not fair no one should be puttin there hands on each other but it happens everyday. I know that's not a story but in my experience and what I have seen in my life. I have seen it a lot.

You're looking at one right here.
I have survived non-self-defense violence at the hands of women, including physical and psychological abuse.
Unfortunately, men have been shamed into staying silent about it, because of the fear of seeming weak.
I found a good website that has helped a lot of people, including me:

women can be cruel, I think they get away w/ abuse more often than men because nobody can believe that it is happening. my brother was abused by his now ex-wife. most people would think that was crazy but I have heard her & I have a friend that watched it happen. now we just have 2b to watch for abuse of their son..she is crazy. I think that it can happen just as much as the other way around..
