I have a bearded dragon, and for a while now we've been using a type of sand that is very powdery. It clumps all together when she spills her water dish, AND it gets all over her, leaving her powdery! The sand we hand before that was red and powdery, and it left her covered in red powder and herfood dish ruined! Can someone reccommend me a easy-to-care-for substance I can put in her cage?

I use brown paper bags. Free and safe. Sand can cause impaction especially with baby beardies.

Please do not use loose substrate of ANY kind with bearded dragons. It is not natural for them to be forced to eat off of sand or rabbit pellets, etc....
It is a major cause of impaction and illness. You are describing calci-sand--the worst thing out there. Experts recommend using ceramic tile (easily cut to fit the bottom), non-adhesive shelf liner (which is what I use--no glue!), or reptile carpet.
