My mom does have a laptop and yes it has wirless internent(We have wireless internet capability at least I don't know if it counts but hey at least its something right?)

Listen to your ipod and write about your experience. Sleep too you need to be all rested when you meet the soap stars!

This flight should only take 4 to 5 hours so you must have stop overs in between. You kind of answered your own question when you said you liked your music and writing. Update your Ipod and put on a lot of new music that you want to hear. Take a computer or writing pad along and that should keep you busy. There are always some fairly good movies to watch so you should be OK.

Actually , you made an arithmetic mistake ; your flight is only 5 hours and 45 minutes including the connection.
There is a 3 hour difference in time between AZ& FL
So you leave AZ at 2:00 AM Eastern time & arrive in FL at 7:45 AM Eastern Time
Depending upon what airport you're changing planes at , it may be a tighter connection then you realize

If u are over 21 u could order booze , drink it and fellasleep.
2# try to make friends and meet some1 intersting.
3# look around fro suspisious people.
4# read a nice book. get it from library.
5# there are always free newpaper andd magzines in plane.
6# plz dont use cell phone in plane.
7# if its nice airline, u prolly have free movies in it.
8# when u put ur seat back make sure the guy behind u dont have coffee on his table.
9# Last but not least, PLz PLZ dont put ur hand out of window when plane is moving lol

I do not think it takes 8 hours and 45 minutes to fly from AZ to Florida. Do you have a long lay-over? Anyway take some books along.

Listen to music, read books, if you like to read.. Usually long flights like that will have a movie to watch. Sleep...Crossword, puzzles....Handheld video games...If you like to talk hopefully there's another person that enjoys talking also... It will go by fairly fast, faster than you think.. -lister to music(cd player or ipod)
-read a book
-kinda childish, but, take a coloring book
-laptop (if allowed)
-paperwork for a job
-pen & paper for sketchings
-PSP or Nintendo DS

get a lot of magazines and fully charge ur ipod and bring word puzzle books. or do what i do.... sleep
