Elevate you feet, you might want to soak them in luke warm water put a little bit of Epson salt in the water. Be careful because swelling of the feet can be a sign on toxemia. If you are still swollen in the next day or so contact your OB doctor!! Good luck.

It's not normal to swell up that bad... are you taking Aleve? It can cause swelling. (water retention). The best way to get the swelling to go down is put them up (your feet). Lay down with a pillow under your knees and drink plenty of water. Water will help your kidneys and liver to flush out the fluid. Also I would call your OB. Although it's normal for your feet and other parts of your body to swell... excessive swelling can be indicative of a bigger problem. You need to rule out anything serious.

First off elevate your feet and be sure to stay hydrated. I would have someone take a blood pressure reading. It is not normal for your legs to swell that severely during pregnancy. It could be the beginning of pre-eclampsia. I had pre-eclampsia with my son and was recommended that before I get up in the morning to put support hose/stockings on my feet but that didn't work to well for me. All it did was cause me to lose sensation in my feet due to the swelling.

Cut your consumption of salt. Drink caffienated tea. Wrap your feet lightly in Ace bandages, and ALWAYS keep your feet above your heart.
It's okay for them to be swelling so long as your blood pressure is under control. About 3 days after my son was born, I went to the bathroom, and I kid you not, I peed 5 gallons. As fast as I could pee, I just kept peeing. And it was all over. Feet were still 1/2 size larger, but that's common, right?

Go to the doctor ASAP. It sounds like toxemia. I had that with my son. It is dangerous for you and the baby it causes your blood pressure to rise. They will put you on an iv to flush out the toxins in your system. It is something completely treatable but if you let it go too long can be dangerous.

You should call your doctor immediately and get your blood pressure checked, they might induce you because of it. Only thing you can do is sit with your feet up, but you really do need to be examined.
Good luck, hope everything is ok for you and your baby.
