My current converter is clogged up, which is making me lose power of the engine, and decreasing my gas mileage, now the current cat has bolts on the end which look like this one

i brought a new cat that looks like this

the new one doesnt have places to put the bolts...i plan on taking it to a muffler shop tomorrow, do you know if their is anyway it can be welded on?? i really dont have the money to get a new cat. Thanks in advanced

ok so if it cant fit, then why is it that when i go to an autoparts website, and search for cat converters for my car, the exact same cat comes up?? It can fit, its universal, just needs modification, thanks to the one guy that was positive about it

they may need to use an elbow but I am positive they can cut the original flange mount and just weld it inline with the exhaust system.

Simple enough, Cats are expensive. Get an exact replacement from NAPA or at a Monro shop. They both sell Walker parts. Take the dog converter back. It'll take a lot of specialty fitting to make it work.

The problem with the dog, cat none of your future exhaust replacements will ever fit. It'll take screwing around every time when you replace manifold Y pipes and the pipe from the cat to the flex pipe. Why bother!

Cat not same. You have lots and lots of work ahead. Me say you almost better-off with used "Cat", if you grab my drift...
