women especially in Germany and America, with Americans incredibly replacing the Germans as the worlds fattest ? I have yet to hear a single word uttered by a feminist in regards to obesity. Quite the opposite, they attack women who might motivate other women to keep in shape, blaming bulemy on them. Why is that ? Envy ? Lets all get fat so men MUST settle for fat ladies ?

Sorry priscillia, when you speak four languages instead of one and badly, you tend to get confused. I spelled it correctly if you know German :-)).

You obviously have no idea how either bulimia or obesity works.

Bulimia is a psychotic, compulsive behavior linked to a few deeply effected targets and almost all of them are female. Even when they become a bunch of puke smelling Gollum lookalikes they feel too fat.

It's deadly. I mean being really fat will kill you but it's going to take a few decades. Bulimia can kill teenagers. They either choke on their vomit or die from malnutrition.

Obesity is a lifestyle problem due to economic and social factors. The obese person is not under some crazy delusion that they're too skinny. They're not motivated by the media to live up to the exacting physical standards of Mo'Nique and Louie Anderson. There are some signs of compulsive behavior but it's 90% about junk food, desk jobs, automobile addiction and passive entertainment.

And here's the feminism related kicker: OBESITY IS JUST AS BAD IN MEN AND THERE IS NO MASCULINE/FEMININE DIVIDE. You know why you have to settle for fat ladies? Because you're fat too porky!

So yeah, the reason is the vast difference between the psychological workings of bulemia and obesity.

I hope you aren't suggesting that the skinny a ss models motivate women to get in shape healthily. Besides, women aren't getting fat trying to reach an unobtainable "beauty" ideal, that is why women develop bulimia and anorexia, because they can't obtain the rail thin "beauty" by normal healthy means. IMO. Those skinny models are ugly anyway, and I would rather spend the rest of my life fat like I am now than destroy myself becoming a body type I can't healthily, and sanely, obtain. And I do think that if obese was being touted as the beauty ideal, you would hear feminists getting on the "beauty experts" cases for making an unhealthy "beauty" the ideal. Right now, the rail thin look is what is being shoved in everyone's faces as to what women should be, not fat.

Actually, I think we're hearing plenty about the obesity epidemic. I consider myself a feminist and I talk about it all the time, and my partner and I work together to make sure his son eats healthy and knows about nutrition to avoid becoming one of this country's many, many obese children.

Bulimia is more specifically a female issue because women tend to suffer from it much more than men, just like certain health issues are more of a men's issue because they effect men much more. If you want to get the word out about obesity (even more) then get off the couch and do it yourself instead of complaining about how the feminists aren't out doing it for you while you sit in front of your computer. Sheesh.

Of course, you'll ignore that because you like to think that feminists would never talk about such things.

How about we talk about low literacy standards are in this country now? Bulemy? Jesus Christ, it doesn't even sound like that. You don't even have to know how to spell these days, just click the "check spelling" button. It's not hard and I promise it won't hurt and you'll have gained a modicum of respectability.

Uh, actually, no, still spelled wrong. In German it's "Bulimie," not Bulemy.

Really, all you have to do is use spell check. It's...right...there.

We attack people who encourage women to shrink down to a size-0, no matter what. A healthy weight, i.e. size 6, is the ideal.

i like people who act like vast infants. adult males fairly. they are able to act like infants as long as they don't circulate the line and start up up performing like young infants. that must be slightly too plenty for me.
