1. Let w signify the width, therefore the lengh is 3w-2. The perimiter is 2w + 2(3w-2) = 44
2w + 6w - 4 = 44
8w = 48
w = 6

2. sqrt(x^5) = (x^5)^(1/2) = x^(5/2)

3. sqrt(75x^2) + sqrt(12x^2)
= x sqrt(25*3) + x sqrt(4*3)
= 5x sqrt (3) + 2x sqrt(3)
= 7x sqrt (3)

4. I think you're missing somehting.

5. 3x^3 - 6x^2 = 3x^2 (x - 2)

6. x^3 + 3x^2 + 2x
= x (x^2 + 3x + 2)
= x (x + 1) (x + 2)

1. Length is 16 and width is 6

because 2L + 2w = 44 and 3w-2 = L
2 ( 3w-2 ) + 2w = 44
6x -4 + 2w = 44
8w = 48
w = 6 and 3(6) - 2 = L = 16

2. square root is like raised to the 1/2
so this should be x^5/2

3. ?

4. x = (y-2) / 3

5. 3x^2 (x - 2)

6. x ( x^2 + 3x + 2 ) = x(x+1) (x+2)

1) . . . L = 3w-2
P = 44 = (w + 3w-2) 2
22 = 4w -2
4w =24
w =6
L = 16

2) . . x^(5/2) = x^2.5

3). . . 5 sqr(3) x + 2 sqr(3) x = 7 sqr(3)

4). . y = 3x + 2

5) . . 3 x^2(x-2)

6). . . x (x^2+3x+2) = x (x+1) (x+2)
