1. a rectangle's length is 2ft less than 3 times the width. if the perimeter is 44ft what is it's length ?

1. Let w signify the width, therefore the lengh is 3w-2. The perimiter is 2w + 2(3w-2) = 44
2w + 6w - 4 = 44
8w = 48
w = 6

2. sqrt(x^5) = (x^5)^(1/2) = x^(5/2)

3. sqrt(75x^2) + sqrt(12x^2)
= x sqrt(25*3) + x sqrt(4*3)
= 5x sqrt (3) + 2x sqrt(3)
= 7x sqrt (3)

4. I think you're missing somehting.

5. 3x^3 - 6x^2 = 3x^2 (x - 2)

6. x^3 + 3x^2 + 2x
= x (x^2 + 3x + 2)
= x (x + 1) (x + 2)
