Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki knows what most of us already knows, the occupation of his country will continue, a rosy picture is being painted as I type my response.

Of course the propagandists will paint a 'blue sky' picture, and will do everything possible to ensure that it appears as if things are 'rosy'.
Even today, Bush said - after a surprise meeting with his security team in Iraq - that troop reductions might be possible if the 'successes' continue. This was all nothing more than propaganda to satisfy the war critics and let Bush go on with his Iraqi insanity.
We will NOT leave Iraq for decades - perhaps generations. That's why we're building the largest U.S. embassy in the world on a 104-acre site in downtown Baghdad overlooking the 'new' puppet government installed by the Bush administration.
That's why Halliburton is building fourteen (yes - 14!) new permanent U.S. military bases in Iraq.
This stupid 'war' has been about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING since the very first day. Bush, Cheney and Company have put all the pieces in place. Now they will relax things just enough to make it look like they're doing everything they can to withdraw our troops.
Bush loves playing 'Commander-In-Chief' - next stop before he leaves office: IRAN. -RKO- 09/03/07

The spin begins. This man can not continue to lead with out our support so he wants to paint a positive picture on our support in hopes that we will stay and give his government more time to reach a point of civil normality so we can leave.

This is really no different then anti Bush congressmen suggesting that failure is upon us.

I believe the US went over to Maliki and threatened him saying if he doesn't shape up and get his country in order and stop talking to Iran he is gone . Maliki then weighed his options and just nodded . Hence the US and Maliki stay .

I'm disappointed in the British! The cowards over there won. It's a sign of weakness on their part, mark up one for the islamo terrorist.
