This is between you and your spouse and you need to have a serious discussion and explain your desire to have some remaining years of happiness, not be brought down by the Mother in Law. I dont know if you are supporting or financing this but if so, its nuts. Your life is passing by. There are plenty of tax payer endorsed senior homes so start investigating so that when you have your discussion, you can present some credible alternative living spaces. Best wishes and do not give up

I have a 80 yr old mil that has lived with us for the past 7 yrs du to 2 severe strokes and none of th other kids can be bothered with her. She has been a pain in my a.s for aboout the last 28 yrs and is actually the author on how to be the ultimate mil nightmare from hell. I could write a book on her here but she definitely explains why the good die young. I wouldnt wish her on anyone but if you do com up with a sure fire way of getting rid ofmils from hell, there are alot ofus in the very same boat on Q&A so we would definitely love to know. Thanks and good luck. By the way with out upsetting the family peace status quo, there isnt much you can do

There is no way I would let mine move in. And when she gets old if her other kids wont take care of her, then hello nursing home! Mines so bad, I wont even talk to her any more. She makes what most think are bad, look like angles. Mine is the devil herself!
Best thing you can do is avoid her any way that you can.
