I have a close male friend who is more like family to me that has recently been coming home with very, very bad body odour. He has been playing a lot of sports because he has been trying to lose weight and he hangs out at my house everyday both before he works out and after he works out. It is such a terrible smell, me and my sister are being tortured and we can't just say 'you stink go and have a shower' and we can't think of any other way to tell him. We asked our mum to tell him and she just laughs at us and makes fun of us.
He's such a good friend to us. We don't want to hurt his feelings. We're African as well and therefore because he's older than us, it is extremely rude to tell someone older than you that they smell (it's the reason we asked our mum). What can we do?? We can't even eat, the smell is soooooo bad!!

Next time he comes just say to him that he must have had a good workout that day as you can smell the sweat on him and ask him if he wants to use your shower.

Make up a gift basket with shower soap, deoderant, wash cloth and bath towel, toothbrush and toothpaste and present it as a gift for him to use in his home away from home! Let him know you have a place for him to keep the items so he can be comfortable just using them when he works out and comes over.

I don't think there is an easy way? you could try saying whats that funny smell in here I have cleaned everywhere and I can still smell it, then ask him if he can smell it. He will say no but he will realise its himself and maybe he will do something about it

He needs to be told. He may be ill if the smell doesn't go away after the shower.

Offer the use of your shower-Say"god u stink after working out-go and use my shower"then laugh and throw him the towel!!xx

i have a Friend who's feet are like stink bombs LMAO
try using air freshener when hes not looking
i would never tell someone they smell as i dont like upsetting there feelings.

You have to say something...One day when he is going to the gym, as he is leaving, just playfully say "Don't come back all sweaty" and do a lot of laughing. He will get the message.

Personally, I'd rather my best friend tell me I have a booger hanging than someone else.

Tell him straight up but in a joking manner.
Like go up to him and go "Damn , you stink! Do you wear deodorant?"
