Alright, I have all the members of a typical metal band(bass, drums, guitar, vocal) but we need a type of metal to play. Our drummer is good and our bassist/vocalist (me) rocks!! But our guitarist is bad when he goes fast and good when he's slow.What kind of slow guitar or bass/drums driven metal is out there?Please advise!

It's quite difficult to play metal if you can't play fast. Try Doom metal, but that will probably make your drummer more bored than a sleeping panda. Otherwise play some goth metal

Kick your guitarist out and get a better one. You can't have a sh*tty guitarist in a metal band are you f*cking insane?? If your drummer has double kicks and you have a decent guitarist that can shred and do fast solo's then you can play DEATH METAL. But if you decide to keep your gay guitarist don't even think about disgracing death metal with your sh*tty band.

One of my Idols, Dani Filth once said genres are bullsh*t and I totally agree. If you try to conform to rules you'll sound like manufactured bands like s club 7 so just forget about genres and play all of your strengths.
Furthermore you could check out Marylin Manson, who's latest album is quite slow but still owns!

You gotta play what comes out of your 'heart & soul' or you might as well not even bother. You'll just be fake and manufactured otherwise. Sounds like you may each have his own idea of the music you should play. You've all got to come together as ONE and play from the hearts & souls of the ONE. The band. Good Luck :-)

Death metal isucks,its crap.its howling and yelling nothing more.So i advise you to play heavy metal ,not death.Play stuff like (early) judas priest,dio,black sabbath,manowar something like that.Or just kick your guitarist out and find another one,but still play heavy metal,cause its the best!
