I wouldn't call that rich. If you invest the full amount i a good mutual fund and forget its there, it should be worth around $700,000 by the time you are 65. It is enough to become rich.

So it really depends on what it takes to satisfy you. For some fifteen year olds, this is more than they can dream to spend; for others who have an eye on a sharp sports car for the next birthday, decidely no.

Well, I don't think I'd call that rich, but it's a lot more than most 15 year olds have.
