EDIT - Toitmoi - I think you missed this bit - "on the evening of May 3, a three-year-old child, Madeleine McCann, disappeared from the bedroom where she slept. ". Not that she was abducted. That she disappeared. The abduction is only a story told by the McCanns. No-one has ANY definitive evidence to back this up. Lies and Innuendo can be told by both sides in this story.

EDIT - Jomam, well you point out a section that piqued your interest and I will comment on that then.

EDIT - So apparently most people on here agree that its OK to use fund money that was intended to find Madeleine to fly friends and family of the McCanns out? Are they searching for Madeleine on the plane? Hell they dont even search for her when they arrive there.

No it is not right.

ok Mcann's the subculture in Portugal is diverse to that right here. In England we've lunch breaks of an Hour. Our Police are no longer meant to drink even as on accountability. (does that contain their lunch ruin?) In Portugal the subculture is diverse. It gets very heat interior the middle if the day, so as that they take a 2 hour ruin, they do although paintings later into the nighttime. As for eating Alcohol i can assure the Mcann's that that is extremely customary interior of something of Europe to drink Wine at lunch time. As for a nip of whisky. why no longer? so long because it does not intervene with their skill to do their activity. Portugal is a well-liked united states, in the event that they weren't in a position they could be disciplined. whilst will The Mcann family contributors concentration on the overlook of the Mccann childrens by utilising the parents? less demanding in charge others isn't it? maybe if the parents had advised the reality from the beginning up the Portuguese ought to have stood of venture of looking Madeleine.

Get real? Do you really think their friends and family are over there for a jolly? I doubt anyone is having a 'jolly' time, it is a tragic time I'd say. You are losing sight of what has actually happened, a poor girl is missing.

I understand the McCans messed up big time by leaving the children but they are trying to keep case in public eye, and this is clearly how they have been advised to do so.

Dave S this question is childish and aimed at stirring things up. Can't you clean your keyboard or something instead of coming out with this drivel?

So they spent a small amount of the fund on printing posters (which they charge people to buy) and the rest of what they have spent was to pay for their family and friends flights? I thought the fund was to help them find Madeleine, obviously there are more important things to spend it on.

I think a lot of us were under the impression that the money was to help the search for Madeleine, NOT, to keep the parents comfortable while others did the searching.

It depends on what is more upsetting - a child who has disappeared or your offence at the parents. I really woulnd't call it a "jolly" and no sensible person would. At the heart of this story is a missing little girl - not a fund, not the parents. Their plight is heartrending and if they get comfort and help form having their family around them, well, whyever not?
Their is no grief greater than losing a child. It shouldn't happen to a single person on this planet.

It is an awfully sad lose-lose situation for just about everyone (except the Media) and it is so very sad that she has gone, but I do think Mum and Dad should come home and face the music for leaving them alone and I think once they have braved that, they will be able to start thinking of how to care for and raise their other two children. I think the 'appeal' should be closed or money given to other children who are suffering too. Real friends and family would find the money to support his family if they had to.
