If you have an attendant, they will take care of the paperwork. If you don't, call your county health records office and ask for the forms. You may be required to appear with your infant and sign an affadavit of unattended birth.
Both my children were born at home. I hope you have a joyous birth!

Are you having a mid-wife attend you? She will know. If not, call your local records agency for your city or county and find the person who handles birth certificates. They will be able to tell you just what to do.

Your midwife will submit all the necessary paperwork. I had 2 c-sections and than an awesome home birth. I plan on having this one at home too. If you have any questions, feel free to e-mail me. I wish more people would consider this as an option. Good luck!

impressive. if you have, and you should, have a midwife with you to help she'll be able to handle all of that for you. if not call your hospital and see. i'm sure it's just your local records office. you will more than likely be taking the baby to the doctor shortly after birth to check for things you cant do at home so they'll be able to help you as well. best of luck to you :)
