I'll start with the smart aleck answer.
Turn a bunch of people who annoy you into frogs and turn them loose in the house untill the bugs are gone.
Now for the serious one.
Burning sulphur in the corners of the house and in the middle of each room was used to purify the place before someone moved into a new residence.
The burning sulphuer will kill off or chase awy the bugs in question as well as any other bugs in residence to include silver fish, spiders, ants, and rolly pollys.
It was supposed to get rid of unwanted "spirits" and keep disease away but it works great on pests.
IF you use this, make SURE the house is as empty as possible since any cloth you leave inside will have to be laundered o get out the sulphur smell.
Make sure to wash everything down well after this is done too as you don't want everything tasting and smelling like sulphur.
