Wow that pie must have been made of gold or platinum or something. Anyway yeah I know what you mean by that. At times when I see the prices of certain things food wise I just get disgusted and don't feel like eating as it costs too much to eat nowadays. It's ridiculous how everything is going up in terms of the cost of living and everything that it involves.

There is one store here in my town that is 50 cents to $1.00 more than another so I don't buy a whole lot of stuff there unless it's on sale. That's a crazy price for an apple pie. Those apples must have been really special. LOL.

When I saw they raised on the milk from $2.99 to $4.03 a gallon I stood there in front of the milk section and said, " holy cow." Then I got cracked up for saying holy cow in front of the milk. LOL.

If that's considered a tourist town, don't be surprised. It's a shame the way they over price items. You need to watch Rachael rays show on the Food Network channel. she gives tips on how to dine out on 40.oo per day, that includes 3 meals.

Yes, it was a coffee at the mall. I almost went over the counter and choked the kid-he must have seen it in my eyes, because he got real nervous and didn't make me pay for it. I told him to give it to the mannager and put his prices in the appropriate place. $5 for a 12oz coffee w/cream/sugar. Maybe that was a normal price for a mall, but when I can walk 200 yards across the parking lot/side road and get one for $0.89 at the gas station, WTF???????? It wasn't even a gourmet or big-name coffee place. $42 for a pie? Wow. Maybe for a lobster quiche, but then only if it was 2 for one. Holy crap.

Yep... more than once, and unfortunatly, it's becoming more and more frequent.
When the price of a corndog goes over a buck, you know it's getting bad.

Some people use the stock market as an indicator of things to come. I use the price of corn dogs, and cheap burrito's. It works for me.

That was incredible, even the tourists up here wouldn't pay that much for a pie.
