I see a lot of people predicting the Lions will be the "breakout" team of the year. Obviously they havent watched them play or seen the incredible lack of talent on the defensive side of the ball (2 very good tackles, one solid LB and nothing else...period!). And they completely suck on the road so Oakland has the advantage. I am going Oakland 27-24. And for anyone who loves the Lion offense, here is something to keep in mind....last year Kitna led 11 (eleven) 2 minute drill drives and they scored exactly ONCE! I like the guy but he got picked off on nearly every other drive with 2 minutes to either the end of the half or the game...he is 35 years old and still making the same mistakes he made 10 years ago. Just a fact! As for the Raiders overall record i have to agree with everyone else and say they have a tough schedule so 3-13 or 4-12 seems to be their destiny (but i believe they are getting good talent and may be a very good team in 2 years).

The Raiders will embarrass the Lions. The Raiders will win eight or nine games this year.
PS: that breakout Lions season has been coming for about 20 years now.

The Lions. As an East Bay resident I've been able to follow the Raiders pretty closely. It's much worse than people nationally realize. They've scored 35 pts total in their last five games!

pshhh this people dont know crap.... Raiders will beat Detroit, and Raiders will be one of the surprise teams this year, i'm not saying theyll make the playoffs, but maybe close at best, i say at least they will win 6 or 7 games, if they could win 8, becareful 4 next season, Raiders are in a rebuilding process, but they have an advantage because theyre defense is Great, the Offense will have to do their Part.... Raiders at best 8-8 Go Raiders!!!... in 3 years will be winning another Superbowl... Lane Kiffin is the next Generation of great Young coaches, we had madden, shanahan, grudden, and now Kiffin, woow Just Win Baby!!!...yea boyyyyyyyyyy

i originally said the raiders would win 5 or 6 games, but after looking at their schedule, i predict less. Their schedule is really tough.
The lions will beat the raiders because this is the lions break out year (in comparison to their previous years)
