How do ensure that the people you elect into office reflect the views of the people and not just their own? Thanks.

The recall process. If you feel your Representatives are not reflecting your views, you can start the process and see if you have enough people who agree with your views. Just look at what happened in California. People were upset with Gov. Gray Davis that they held a new election in the middle of his term of office.

Candidates usually have to declare how they feel about key issues like abortion and the war on terror. So there is no surprises later on.

A few recalls every now and again is enough to remind Congress and the Senate who they are representing.

Term limits is a horrid idea. We have term limits already in place-they are called elections. If you feel your elected officials are not doing their job, then vote them out and replace them with people you like. The majority of people who complain never do anything to correct the problem.

Our system of government is flawed. Powerful multinational corporations control policy.

It takes big money to run successfully for office. Those donations influence the course of our country to the detriment of the average American. The constitution and bill of rights are being shredded.
