I KNOW Tmi!

I need some help because my doctors office is closed today and I am not sure if I should go to the hospital or not. I had sex for the first time on Saturday since I had my baby, and everything was fine than. And than yesterday afternoon I had it again but stopped because it did not feel to good. And late last night I started bleeding. Its not like period blood it is like the bleeding I had when I got out of hospital. Could I have re-opened my wounds? I have no idea. Should I want and see if the bleeding dies down and call doctor tomorrow?

Thanks!

If you are bleeding again like you were when you first had the baby, then yes you need to seek medical attention today if possible - or if the bleeding lessens, first thing tomorrow. At the very least, call your doctor or talk to a nurse tonight to put your mind at ease.

After 6 weeks the blood flow should be MUCH less and also lighter or turning brownish or dark red.

This could either be your stitches re-opening and/or some kind of infection.

It depends on how soon after your baby you had sex. You are supposed to wait so your body can heal. Did you wait the prescribed time? How much are you bleeding? If it is a lot, I'd go in to see someone if you are very concerned. And if it slows or stops, just see your doctor tomorrow.
And if your time is not yet up, stop having sex and let your body heal! It's the only way! :)

Be careful, having sex to soon after birth could cause infection. But you should be fine as long as you waited for your doctors approval. But just in case go see your doctor.
