I hear the word diabetes pronounced both ways. I suppose by looking at the word it could go either way. I know some dictionaries will show both, but what is the correct way?

depends if you are from Europe or America...:) they are both fine.

Diabetes, pronounced diabeeteez. Since there is no "i" at the end, it wouldn't be "tis".

The way I say it, it's closer to the second way than the first way.
