Alright, so I have a 1994 Saturn SL2. I want to make it a little bit quicker. I don't need it to be a racer, but I would like it to at least have some balls. The 123 horsepower just isn't enough. LOL!

As I said all you smart a** people. I don't want a racer, I just want something that has a little get up and go without sacrificing the gas mileage.

Cold air intake would be something pretty fast and easy. After that you might want to look for some performance chips, which usually make you need to run 91 octane. Then exhaust change and last I would say a turbo which cost thousands. Those are all from lowest to highest cost. Before a turbo I might say do an engine swap, just not sure how expensive the engine swap wound be compared to a turbo.

It sounds like you need a new Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor or an Oxygen sensor. A less likely but plausible cause is a slowly failing electronic fuel pump. You'll need to take your vehicle to a shop to have a diagnostic program run to determine which it is.
