If he's sleeping let him. Don't wake him up to eat. (Unless he's not a healthy baby) For a bedtime routine you can start right from birth. Bath, book, cuddle, boobie juice, bed. (Or whatever form of that works for you)

If he's sleeping and you are all happy then there is nothing to worry about. About 4 months their sleep habits usually change and I think that a good age to start working on a loose schedule. I highly recommend the book Healthy Sleep Habits Happy Child because it gives you a very good idea of what to do, without doing cry it out. It worked great for my son.

I started a "bedtime" routine from birth with my son.
Newborns sleep all the time, but during the day when he woke up and needed feeding and changing, we would take care of the bottle/diaper, and then play for a little while before he fell asleep.
At the end of his 7/8PM feeding though, things were very different. We would bathe (only twice a week at first), put on lotion with a little massage, get in p.j.'s, and rock while I said his prayers and sang lullabies to him. Then I would put him to bed in his crib.
When he woke during the night for a feeding or diaper change, I would keep it as dark and quiet as possible so that after the necessary bottle/diaper was finished, he would just go back to sleep. So, I grabbed a bottle from the kitchen before I went to get him so that he was not exposed to bright lights, and I kept a nightlight on in his nursery that was bright enough for me to see to change his diaper. I would feed him in the rocking chair and only whisper to him very softly like I would do at bedtime to soothe him. If you don't stimulate a baby by turning on lights, talking to them, and playing with them, they learn very quickly that it is still nighttime.
Good luck.

when you no he is tired at night and it is after 7/8pm then see as bedtime and breastfeed him and put him to sleep and let him wke up when he is hungry you dont need to wke him up. there is no specific times for me its just 'around this time' you dont have to do things on the dot as this makes it abit stressful for u. my baby goes to sleep for te night around 8/9pm and wkes up asumtimes 2/4 hours later.
