My son had this problem, it sounds to me like your son may be lactose intolerant.
I switched to Silk (soy milk) and another possibility for you is to use products that are made from soy or milk that has had the lactose taken out, like Lactaid.
I totally understand your concern; call your doctor, they can help farther.

Talk to your doctor about how to increase your milk supply while pumping. Cow's milk has proteins that babies cannot process and can make them very sick. It isn't good enough nutrition. Formula isn't a real good idea either but it is better than cow's milk. Goat's milk is also a bad idea for babies. Try mixing the formula with the breastmilk or offering him formula after he has already had what breastmilk you could give him. Call the WIC office and/or the La Leche League. They will help you a lot.

Don't give cow's milk... Baby humans don't need it, it's actually full of proteins and enzymes human bodies are not designed to digest or break down. Wouldn't you think it odd if we drank rabbit milk? Or say moose milk?? Dog, cat... It's all the same, we don't need other animal's milk. Humans are the only species that make it a habit to drink other species' milk, and even after infancy or weaning.

Give her soy-milk, or rice-milk. It's much better for her and contains the kinds of nutrients (plant-based) her body is more able to absorb.

The whole calcium-cow's milk thing is a lie. Your body does not need animal based calcium. And evidence suggests drinking cow's milk on a regular basis may actually lead to osteoporosis.
