I'm not sure if there the biggest surprise but yes many people are surprised at how badly they have done this year. Being the baseball junkie i am, i was expecting the white sox to do good and the cubs do bad. The reason it's so surprising is because the sox won it all just to years ago and they fell so far in so little time. But my answer on who is the biggest surprise is the Chicago Cubs. They were 2nd to last in the entire Major leagues and now they are on there way to winning the central.

I saw it to, since I am in Chicago, and my family does get the Chicago Tribune. This tells you that he must be a Chicago Cubs fan, and hates the Chicago White Sox. But it is kind of hard what a team will do during the season. Plus who would have believed the fact at the beginning of last season, that both the Chicago Cubs and Chicago White Sox would both be in the playoffs. You would think that of course, he will pick the Cubs to go to the playoffs. But wouldn't it be something to see the look on his face, if the Chicago White Sox made the playoffs, and the Chicao Cubs finished in last place, and missed the playoffs. And even if the Cubs do end up finishining up in last place. All I can do is take a guess, so it will just be hard for me to say what the Chicago White Sox will do as far as wn or lose, but they will play pretty much on a every day basis, once the real season begins.

They went from World Series champs to worse than the KC Royals in 2 years. That's shocking. I live close to Chicago and get to see them play. What is really surprising is how they just packed it in. The only guy on the team who hasn't stopped playing hard is AJ. The series against Boston last week was a disgrace.

Yes they are definitely a surprise. They quite recently won a WS championship, and I expected them to do a lot better than they ended up doing.

Look at where the WS are now and 2-3 years ago. I think the standings says enough. I thiink Seattle is kinda suprising though too.

Yes. I expected them to fall off and go down to around .500. They have done much worse.
