To me, Payton is a boys name I know of 2 with the name no girls at all. Recently I was on a birth club online and saw a few girls named Payton. I find it not a very feminine name, so I was just wondering where others stood.....

My son's name is Payton. I too have never met a girl with the name, but have heard of them. In my opinion it is ALL BOY!!!

There are too many girls with Masculine names, I don't know why parents do that, but they do, I guess maybe just hoping for a boy, but getting a girl! Did you know McKenzie used to be only a boys name, just like taylor, Cameron and Jordan.

Payton is a unisex name, but I definitely prefer it for a girl. I think it's a really cute name. Payton Rose, Payton Sophia, or Payton Nicole wold be pretty. Hope this helps :D

It is both. I know a boy named Payton, and a girl named Peyton. I think the spelling is the only difference because you pronounce it the same way as the other one.

Peyton is one of those boy turned girl names that is quickly gaining popularity, we just recently gave birth to a baby girl 2 weeks ago..and her name is Peyton, I find it more feminine to spell it that way, in fact, so far the only children I've found named peyton have been girls, other than Peyton Manning..which is where we got the name from. other names that use to be boys names and are now mostly only thought of as girl names...

madison
lynsey
morgan
kelley
jessi
jamie
alex
jordan

just to name a few

I am 27 and all of the Payton/Peytons that I know are male. however it has recently switched over to more of a girls name. It is hard for me to decide which gender I like it more on since it is now common for both.

Personally, I am not a fan of it for either gender.

It's one of those Unisex names .

I am not a fan of the name but I find it more feminine sounding then masculine. I personally would not name my son Payton

I think that it sounds more masculine than feminine. I don't really care much for the name, but I'd sooner give it to a boy than a girl. I just don't think it sounds right for a girl.

payton is a unisex name ... obviously ON... can go both ways...however, if you name a boy payton he will most likely get beat up a lot... made fun of.... and may even turn gay later in life. I would recommend not naming a boy payton unless you are cruel and looking for a good laugh later in life
