For those from, what are the going rates for a decent 2 bedroom apartment in Edmonton. As well, what parts of Edmonton should one avoid. I have a child 11 years old and would like it to be a family/kid friendly are that is still near public transportation (to start) and schools.

Because the employment boom has gone and people have left the city. The housing crunch is over! People who bought expensive homes and condos are scrambling to have tenants fill them to pay the mortgage. They were super high last year.....but now they have come right down... Btw...yes once per year is law. But there is no rental control, so they can raise it as much as they want. My 2 bedroom apartment for $1000 was raised an extra $700/month...... !!!
