If you own a pet and you think it's yucky to clean up after your pet then I would rethink owning a pet. It's not a fun thing to clean up animal poop but it's just one of those things you do and get it done and over with.

Hm.. That's very, "serious"..

No it's not very yucky.

If you do it often enough, it's not yucky at all -- well take that back, I suppose there's a certain amount of "disguist" to anyone when you see poop - however I don't know WHY.

what we call "poop" is the waste from our food: like fat.

They put a very small amount of "poop" into tap water, to purifie it, however we drink that just fine.

But anyway back to the question, it can be gross, if you let it go to long -- but otherwise ranging from Cleaning out the literboxes, to cleaning out the tanks, back to picking up the poo outside, it isn't THAT gross -- I would say the worst would be when my mom was cleaning out the fish tank, and was sifening the water, and didn't keep track of the level and got poopy water in her mouth --- ahh good times, goooood times.

:D

No, it's part of the responsibility of owning a dog. Either in your own backyard, or from someone else's lawn when you're walking the dog, or picking up the occasional accident in the house - all owners need to deal with cleaning up after their dog.

If you don't want to deal with the poo, get a stuffed animal instead of a live one.

Any responsible pet owner should clean up the animals feces. If your dog goes in a neighbor's yard, you need to clean it up out of respect. Also, if you own a cat- you have to clean their litter box frequently or they won't use it and start going around the house. Never get a pet if you aren't willing to accept the responsiblities that comes with it.

I dunno is it yucky to step in someones pets poo?Yes.....to pick up poo? No. It's the right thing to do. It cuts down on flies, diseases, smells and keeps the neighborhood happy. Imagine if you didn't have a pet and someone constantly walked their dog to your yard to poo, would you be happy to clean up someone elses mess? Or step in it? I don't think so...it's just the polite and responsible thing to clean up after your pet.

-shrugs- It's no worse than changing diapers, I'd imagine.

I've had rats, hamsters, fish, mice, dogs, rabbits, hermit crabs, snakes, bearded dragons, etc. Once you get into the schedule of cleaning, it's no biggie and doesn't faze ya. The bearded dragon and the rabbit were by far the worst. I'd choose them over a child any day though. ^.~

No, that's how I reuse those plastic bags I get at every shopping trip I make.

Just stick my hand in the bag, grab the poo, and then fold it up on itself. Easy.

Your poo or your pets poo?
Haha.
I guess it isn't if you're using a plastic bag and you hold your breath for a bit.

I occasionally put rubber bands in my dog's food. That way, it makes it really easy to pick up. In the back yard, wait a day. Then I can walk around with a bag, and pick it up by all the rubber bands. No muss, no fuss.
