I have a leo who is about 10 months old. Since I moved back into my dorm, he has been acting really mopey. He didn't eat for two weeks, he didn't want to crawl around my arms and explore like he usually does, and when he's on me he lays his head down flat (instead of perking up and looking around), kind of like a sad dog. He's eating now, I switched him to waxworms for a few days, but he's still acting weird.
So on the advice of a friend (who considers himself a reptile expert), a bought a few month old female to keep him company. They seem to be getting along, snuggling in his hiding cave. When I first got him, I got him with another leo, and they used to snuggle and be friends until they got old enough and both starting fighting (they were males), so I gave the other to a friend and he's been alone since Feb.
My question is, did I make the right choice? And what behaviors should I be on the lookout for to determine if this was a bad idea (besides him attacking her)?
