Counting any HOFer who ever suited up for at least one game for the franchise, it's the Giants, with 53.
For a single year team, the 1928 and 1930-33 Yankees each had nine HOF players, though the lineup changed a little bit the first three years.
1928: Combs, Coveleski, Dickey, Durocher, Gehrig, Hoyt, Lazzeri, Pennock, and that Ruth kid.
1930: drop Coveleski and Durocher, add Gomez and Ruffing.
1931-33: drop Hoyt, add Sewell.
Want HOF managers? 1928 was Huggins, 1931-33 was McCarthy.

Cardinals have to be a close 2nd. I remember them having a butt-load of players in the Hall (including Dodger manager Walter Alston - 1 ML AB).
