My family and I are wanting to take a mini vacation this fall. I have heard East Tennessee is beautiful that time of year. Know any good spots?

Gatlinburg is a great place to base yourself- it's beautiful and has lots of things to do... shopping, the aquarium and beautiful scenery. Drive into the Smoky Mountains for a wonderful Fall experience.

I have a motorhome and have been to pigeon forge, gatlinburg and this yr stayed in cherokee which is on the north carolina side at the koa campground. stayed 4 days and hated to leave, they have awesome facilities there. southern end of the smokies.
