If you still want a dog, research on Chihuahua's, they're great for apartement life. You could get a ferret, fish, or bird. You might also like a cat, some of them stay only indoors. Good luck.

Maybe a cat? Dogs are not good to keep in small apartments because they can get bored easily especially if you are at work or school most of the day. I'd go for a cat but you need to realize they require routine vet visits, food, toys, and need love and attention.

Cats are great for apartment life. They don't have to go outside to use the bathroom, they don't make a lot of noise, scooping a cat box is much easier than cleaning out a rodent cage, and they'll snuggle up with you on cold nights.

A rat would be OK in an apartment. U get them young & play gently with them a lot to socializes them. U need to keep rat in a cage when U R out. They can learn tricks. But rats have a short life span only 2 years.

We are currently living in an apartment and we have a bunny :) They are great pets because you can little box train a rabbit just like a cat! We have a cage set up for our bunny, but when we are home he just hops around the house with us :)

Well, there's always a fish, but if you think they're boring, then maybe you should get a cat. They have a lot of different personalities, so you could find one that will do really well in an apartment.

if i lived in an apartment..then i would get a cat, but if you want a dog then get a dog, they are only going to be rowdy and hyper for a while..and after that stage you would be glad you got a dog because they are really good friends but whatever you pick i hope it works out!

I live in a small one bedroom apartment. I have a cat to keep me company. It all depends on what kind of animal you like. I live by my self.

There are great pets for people but not for apartments. An apartment can't take care of pets
