I'm 99.9% sure i'm in love with my boyfriend. i dont ever want to leave his side- and when i do..i just want to be right next to him again. I want to spend the rest of my life with him. we talk about what kind of house we'll have, what ur child would be like, what kind of puppy we want, etc. he makes me extremely happy and i adore him. when i'm in his arms, i feel so unbelievable safe and just wish i could get as close to him as physically possible. but..my heart doesnt always race really fast when i'm with him [sometimes..but not always], i dont really get that electric feeling i've been told and read about, i dont get butterflies really either....i feel like i should though. would you say i am in love? does anyone else feel this way?

I'm am very much in love with my husband and I can say speaking from experience you don't get that electric feeling unless you stick your wet fingers in a light socket or butterflies. you get butterflies when your nervous not when your in love. Don't worry, just enjoy your relationship.

If, when you say love, you're referring to the same thing that I am, then I can give an answer, although many people use that word to describe things that I don't actually consider love, such as physical attraction and respect. What I call love is the true recognition and connection with another being. That feeling is wonderful. It feels like peace, like bliss. When you're loving something or someone you feel safe and unafraid. People can fake love, if they're being manipulative, but I don't think that would feel like anything, except maybe pride.

You pretty much answered your own question- butterflies, electric...it comes and goes. Not as important as being best friends. If you plan on marrying someday- my mom always said, marry your best friend, cus later down the road the physical ends up going by the way side. It is important to be with someone you can actually talk to, tell all your secrets too. Emotional closeness and trust are of utmost importance. So, electric butterflies- hey- enjoy when they are there. If not, create them. Do something romatic, fun, spontaneous and exciting. Nothing better than anticipation mixed with a little excitement or "fear of unknown" when trying something new. Never know until you try. Most importantly make sure you are on same page and when not, open mind, open ears, open heart.

This one is easy cutie....The butterflies and that electric feeling your talking about happens when you are sharing a moment with someone that is profoundly special...It also happens when your heart is totally open to someone! This is so good to hear. Unfortuantely it does happen less and less frequently in time, because as time goes on you will expierience more and more of these moments and eventually you will have shared just about everything with the one you love...But dont get me wrong if it is TRUE love your significant other will find things and ways to make you feel these butterflies or electricity! Good luck cutie and let me know what you decide!

Just because you don't have butterflies anymore doesn't mean the love is gone. It just means that you are comfortable now, and all the nervous energy and excitement isn't there anymore. Trust and believe if you did not love your bf, all the things about him that you pointed out, would not be all that important to you, ya know. You definitely wouldn't want to be around him. Stop worrying, you're fine, and the hard part is over.

Of course your in love with him. It doesn't matter about butterflies, or that crazy feeling. If your abseloutely sure you are, it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. If you never want to leave him, adore him so much, and your serious about your future, you definetly love him!

Usually people just get that at the beginning stages of attraction. If you know deep down that you're in love - don't argue with yourself JUST ENJOY IT
