Well, that is a question...
Walmart's prices are low as long as there is competition around. If not, the raise the prices. They sell you cheap chinese goods, pay the lowest fares, treat their employees like slaves and they get away with it.
Well, they get away with it in the USA.
Here in germany they were beat out of the country by the local competitors and lost 3,000,000,000 Euros within nine years.

I hate wal-mart I usually go to mom and pop shops or places like whole foods

Wal-mart is evil as are all chains, including places like Whole Foods!

The *VERY* basics would include: Assorted baitholder hooks Split-shot sinkers, all sizes Plastic floats, various sizes Artificial bait I would include: Black or dark purple plastic worms A medium size daredevil red-and-white spoon (good for many freshwater fish) Florescent green curly tail grubs (my personal preference as I find them to be very reliable for sunfish, bass and trout when used with a split-shot sinker and fished like a jig). If you have any money left over, try to get some Kastmaster spoons in various sizes (they work for all kinds of freshwater and saltwater fish and are worth buying, but will likely put you over your $13 budget). And don't forget a plastic garbage bag to clean up your spot when you're ready to go home.

No. I hate Wal-Mart, they are going to take over the world.
Even though their stuff can be so cheap...
They don't always have everything and cheap though, my family always has to go to the Albertson's or Smiths.

Wal-Mart is the crappiest place there is... It's hard to believe that people shop there at all.

Wal-Mart is the best!!! it pretty much supplies all of my needs... except they don't have cds with parental advisory labels on them, in which case i go to Best Buy.

No. I dread going into that store... Went late last night just to avoid the heat and the crowd... That place is still crazy busy even at ten at night...
I really prefer Target and a regular grocery store...

one just opened near here about 3 weeks ago. i haven't shopped there yet. (they've been in my state for awhile, just not within driving distance)
