Not surprisingly, public speaking is among the top fears that people have. Personally, it was something I was afraid of for many years. Since then, I have found that more I do it, the more comfortable I become. My job entails a tremendous amount of public speaking; in the past few years, it has become second-nature to me.

My best advice, when you have to do it, be prepared as possible. Prepare a full-text version of your text and practice working from it a few times before going into a public setting. You will find that with the words you need to say easy to come by, you will not be as frightened as you would be otherwise. Do this often enough, and gradually you will become less reliant on prepared comments and more reliant on your own intuition of the gathering.

The people you speak to get into their clothes just like you do in the morning. Understand, there is nothing to fear. If you
blunder and make a mistake, so what. Other people do make mistakes; if not now , then when they first got started speaking in public.

Think over what you will say before you say it.
Research and have knowledge about a subject to add with what all you do know before you engage in public speak.
Regearse your speech, public speaking or pretending to speak in front of large and small crowds.
Ask yourself"what am I feeling exactly" and try to identify if it is fear, or anxiety over failure you anticipate, if it is people not listening to you or doubting your credibility to speak to them or on the subject.

I love it, I dont know why but I'd love to be like a press sec or something so i could be that person on the podium talking to reporters and answering questions. I think its because i like the attention and the sense of power. :D

It's inadvisable to comment on somebody's new shoes whilst standing next to them at the latrine in the Gents' toilet.
