I have a sony Vio desktop. Under the device manager tab, the card is not even available. It is the only connection I have to do my homework. Thanks!

Take the card out and uninstall the software. Then re-install the software and then plug the card back in.

you can try romoveing the card. first shut down your l/t (laptop) then remove the card turn the l/t back on and then off.then put your card back in and turn on the l/t and see if it reconizes it as a new device.or it could be that you need to reinstall the software for it.try the software first. good luck

make sure the card is in the slot all the way. if it still does not work, then get a network usb adapter.
