Something with lots of instruments...folk, perhaps...and preferably by an artist or group who writes their own material, since they are far more likely to have a dynamic, perhaps unusual live performance, whereas most "pop tarts" and the like tend to rely upon "canned" music, and waste your time with distracting smoke and mirrors--or worse yet, lip-synching!
It also depends on YOU, though! :) Your age, your personal taste...if you're a teenager, you might LIKE the more dramatic, theatrical "smoke and mirrors"....if you're middle-aged, you might like something more laid back. Or not! People are different!
I've seen hundreds of shows, spanning almost every genre, and the bottom line for me is talent and passion. I enjnoly performances when people actually PLAY INSTRUMENTS (especially more than one) rather than just shake their booty in some ridiculous get-up, singing boring, mindless mainstream garbage.
For entertainment valie, musicians who have great back-up bands (especially with unusual/international instrumentation) can be really fantastic, too. Performers like Sting, Paul Simon and Dave Matthews are known for astounding live shows with lots of live instruments from around the world.
How about Polyphonic Spree!!?? They'd rock your socks, for sure!

Depends on what you're in the mood for...
I've attended scores of concerts.
Obviously, groups like Pink Floyd and (believe me or not) Wings have great special effects in addition to great music.
But sometimes I'm looking just for musical excellence. Jazz concerts have that. It's all about the music. Anything else is just gravy.

That would be strictly a matter of opinion. There are many great concerts in many different genres.
