I want to become an accountant and I was just wondering if a degree from PSU or Rutgers would give me an upper hand in the business world once I graduate. Thanks

They are both good schools. If money is a factor, go to the one that is in-state. The best thing you can do for yourself when choosing between the two is to graduate with as little debt as possible.

I would also say they are equivalent. Just to make sure, contact their department or career center and ask for statistics of their graduates. Find out what % of accounting majors were employed after they graduated, summer internships, the average/ range of starting salary, companies they are working for, etc.

No, I think the two are very similar in quality.
