The ONLY way to make a gas truck run on diesel is to replace the gas engine with a diesel engine. This is not easy or cheap to accomplish. If you want to run bio-diesel, sell your truck and buy one with a diesel engine. Be advised, most older diesel engines have fuel lines and seals that will be damaged by bio-diesel. Careful research is in order to avoid problems.

Gasoline uses 7 to 1 compression or about 160 psi compression then a spark to fire the air fuel that heats air and moves the piston. Diesel on the other hand uses 22 to 1 compression 1,100 to 2,000 psi compression pressure and when a drop of oil is sprayed into that heat and pressure it explodes pushing the piston down. That is why diesel engines sound so lould when idling. Also why there are no spark plugs on diesels. No conversion unless you replace the entire drive train.

Back in the 50's International Harvester built an engine that started on gas and when warmed up it would be switched to diesel. Don;t know if any are still around. I operated a tractor that had one in it.

Besides the name "engine" the gasoline and diesel engine have few things in common.
It would be cheaper to sell your truck and buy a diesel truck and convert that. This is no joke.
Good luck.

It probably wouldn't be worth it or be very practical. Diesel engines are built with many parts that are different specs and much more durable, there are plenty of differences between diesel and gasoline engines. Compression, cylinder head design, no spark plugs, different injection systems, the list goes on and on.

Nope, you would have to fully convert the gas car to a real diesel burner in the first place, and the cost and hassle in that makes it pointless in the extreme.

not possible they use a different way of combustion than a gasoline engine that requires the need of spark plugs as opposed to bio-diesel that doesn't need them

NOPE BECAUSE IT WOULD LIKELY COST YOU AN ARM AND A LEG.
BETTER TO START OFF WITH A DIESEL FIRST.
