Find someone you're interested in. Maybe someone like Walt Disney or Stephen Spielberg. I really enjoyed reading Helen Keller's autobiography. In the 8th grade, I wrote a research paper on Jim Henson, and that was one of my favorite projects for school. Most people hated the assignment because they researched presidents or people that weren't exciting to them. Not that presidents are that boring. When I was in school, I did research projects on both Grant and Cleveland, and they both have very interesting stories. However, I still enjoyed my Jim Henson report much, much more.

ME! I could tell you all kinds of things!!! LOL But seriously,

Edgar Cayce (he had the ability to put himself into some kind of self-induced sleep. This state of relaxation and meditation enabled him to place his mind in contact with all time and space. From this state he could respond to questions,& his responses to these questions came to be called "readings" and contain insights so valuable that even to this day individuals have found practical help for everything from maintaining a well-balanced diet and improving human relationships to overcoming life-threatening illnesses and experiencing a closer walk with God. He was a very interesting man.

Or you could write on Robert "Rob" LeRoy Ripken ,who created the world famous Ripley's Believe It or Not! He made his first trip around the world in 1922. That's a man you will find all kinds of interesting tidbits.

The best biography I've read was on Adolph Hitler but then I love reading about people who are that screwed up. Another good read was Chuck Yeager. That one was an autobiography.

Barack Obama is a phenomenal person. His background touches several countries around the world. His book is "Dreams From My Father." It is very interesting and you just can't put it down. It has 691 pages. If you want a "meaty" read, then get this book. What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? The Lord daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. - Psalm 68:19. Peace and God Bless.

Who are some of your personal heroes? Political? Historical? Musical? Artistic?

Go to your local library, and browse the biography section. You're likely to come away with an armful of great ideas.

Hint: the more insane the subject, the better the read. }:)

You should read

I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings

By Maya Angelou

It's an autobiography, and it's a really good book.

Even if you can't read autobiographies, you should read it.
