well, i have this friend, hes a boy. and we've been bestfriends ever since 3rd grade. he's a little on the girlish side. his voice is sort of girlish, but he lives in a house with ALL girls. he weras hollister, abercrombie, and american eagle. and everyone always talks to ME about how they think hes gay. i know for a fact that he's not but all the time, they make fun of him and i cant take it anymore. hes my bestfriend, and it hurts hear people talk about him like that. i always deny it, but they alwaysss repeat it to me. he's had girlfriends before, but people have nothing better to do than talk about how he sounds like a girl.
how do i make them stop?

Seriously, shame on them! Who are they to say what or who someone else is? That just shows how shallow they actually are, how petty they are. People are so cruel in that's all they have to do is criticize others. What makes them think they're so "prefect". What give them the rite to make fun of someone else because that's the way God made them!!! Can he "help it" that he happens to have a different voice than others, that his voice is "different" from what they percieve it "should be". Can he help it that's the way he was born?! IF we all had the "choice" of who/what we could be, we'd all be perfect, look perfect, talk perfect, be perfect. This is just not a "perfect" world we live in. There is NO ONE "perfect" except God!!! If you know them, I'd love to meet them! They have no rite whatsoever to judge how someone else was created. If they'd take a look at themselves, I think they'd find they're not so perfect either. I'm sure every one of them has a flaw here & there. Judge not that you be judged. Is that all they do is have so much time on their hands that they have to redicule others? Evidentaly that's the way God wanted him because that's the way He made him. I suggest they find better things to do than judge others & be cruel to others. His situation reminds me of the show that use to be on "Three's Company" w/John Ritter. He was as "straight" as they come, but also happened to live w/only girls. Tell them what goes around comes around & if they keep on being cruel to others, there turn w/come too. We DO reap what we sow. Seeds of kindness sure make better boquets than seeds of cruelty resulting in a bunch of weeds. Hope I've given you some food for tho't in regard to how to address your situation. Good luck to you...You're OK in my book & I respect you for standing firm for your friend. People like that don't even deserve any respect as they don't have any for anyone else.

Unfortunately there isn't really any way to make people stop talking. What you can do is control how you react to people when they bring it up to you. Just tell them that no, he's not gay. When you're in school it's just that much harder because teens are mean to each other, but over time they'll see that he's not gay, he's metrosexual. There is nothing wrong with a guy dressing nice and keeping up his appearance. If they're too ignorant to see that then they're the ones missing out.

there's nothing really wrong if he seems a bit girlsih, if that's the way he is..and the thing is, when people call someone gay,. ..well they might sound mean, but usually they don't hold it against him. it's like a statement made without thinking, and sometimes it just sounds negative, but not really meant to be that way. if he was gay, most people would be ok with it i assume. so, i think that the fact that this upsets you is a lot worse than what people say about him. if someone has something different, from my experience, people usually aknowledge it aloud. for lack of better subjects.
don't let it hurt you anymore. you'll get used to it eventually and learn not to care, as , probably, did he.

Well I would say that if people will not reaspect your boundry's then they are not your freind's. I have freind's that talk in manner's that I do not aprove of at time's and so I just tell them that if they do not stop then they can go find someone els to hang with, and they know that I mean it. It should work for you.

The more you actually listen to what people say the more they are going to talk. What really matters is the people that love him. Just be a good friend and ignore all the talk, it will go away.

You can not stop them. If he is as you discribe him, then he does sound gay. What difference does it make what brand of clothes he wears. Maybe he doesn't want to come out yet, and when or if he does, you shoud be there as his best friend.

Tell them to shuddup.
Or you can always just try to ignore them - always works. They do it to annoy you, and they like seeing you get frusrated and upset, just ignore them - you know the truth. Eventually they'll just stop talking about it.

just ignore them. or kiss him in public, and pretend to go out with him, and show people that he's not gay, and if they still talk about him just say "then if he was gay then why did we go out for a while? you people just have nothing better to do!!!"

You're not going to be able to make people stop. They're just not mature, and you just need to avoid them.
