Nope, not true. Colored diamonds are naturally occuring, just EXTREMELY rare. There are lab processes out there that can turn a colorless diamond to colored, and the color will depend on the molecular make-up of theindividual stone. Most colored diamonds you see in the general marketplace are "Enhanced which means that the color was forced in the lab, but if you want a naturally colored diamond, they certainly are available, just extremely expensive

People have gotten 2 things wrong. First, coloured diamonds are actually natural diamonds that occur in nature. These are extremely rare and extremely expensive as well. There are some artificially coloured natural diamonds as well. As for lab diamonds, they are not fake. They are also real diamonds that are created in a lab where the conditions of the earth's core where the diamonds are created are mimiced. However, cultured pink diamonds and cultured yellow diamonds are a real thing. The lab growing process allows colored diamonds to be formed as well

No Bunni,
Not all colored diamonds are lab made.
The colors come from impurities in the
crystallized carbon.
One lab process does have a tendency to
produce yellow diamonds.
Others produce "water white" diamonds.
Lab made diamonds are NOT "fake".
They are as real as the natural kind.
