First of all, almost all Republicans are for adult stem cell research. The debate is only on embryonic stem cell research.
I don't have any statistics on it. But I'm a Republican, and I'm in favor of embryonic stem cell research.

I do not believe most Republicans are against stem cell research. The reason they vote that way is part of Bushes and Roves campaign to be sure they all voted as a solid front against contradicting the course bush set for them. That is not what the legislators were elected to do but the constitution does not count with this administration.

Bush was against Embryonic Stem Cell research. Because he believed that killing a live embryo was wrong, plus it's been found that the stem cells in cord blood is far more effective than embryonic stem cells.

That's not a political topic. Conservatives and Liberals,
Republicans and Democrats, as personal morals commit,
are either for or against .
The subject is further divided with the separation of Embryo
or adult stem cells.

Who could possibly know the answer to that?
All forms of Stem Cell research are legal. President Bush does not want to make Federal Grants to fund embryonic research. Grants have been made, just not towards embryonic research.

We are paying for Stem Cell research right now. Stem Cell research is NOT illegal, except we will not pay for Embryonic stem cell research since it is derived from abortions.

Sure. They're against any research that may benefit mankind.
No wait, that's PETA.
The one thing that is not lacking in America is private funding for medical research.
Can't you be happy with federal money going to the abortion mills?

Yes, unless they contract a disease. If they or their family get a disease they're all for it.
